The guy who has an unbelievably smooth stroke and will be a great three point shooter for us is Douglas. Just has to find his confidence.

Ben Emelogu is hitting .692 from 3 point line 9 for 13

Frosh got some more minutes and Ben E drilled some nice shots.
They might be the worst team we play all season.

I think Landrum is a great athlete and got by on that mostly in high school. He has a lot to work on to be a starter on a team like SMU. And that's not a knock at him at all. But I don't know how much we'll see him once McMurray starts playing.

I wonder if Landrum's shooting struggles are just nerves/adjusting to Moody/Adjusting to a different game speed. His form looks fine unlike the hitch Jarrey had his freshman year, or Whit's over the head starting position.

I think we may be over emphasizing form. I’ve got a lovely looking shot but can’t hit the side of a barn. Hopefully, this is just freshman jitters, adjusting to the speed of the game, or whatever.

If you can't hit the die of a barn than your shot probably isn't as lovely looking as you might think. Form matters a lot. Pretty much every great shooter has perfect traditional form (with the occasional exception like Curry who puts more of his palm on the ball).

I sat courtside one night and watched Ray Allen warm up...epitome of perfection.

They might be the worst team in the entire country. I think DeSoto HS could handle them.

Landrum sure spends a lot of time in the floor. I love his attitude.
Hopefully he doesn’t go through a shooting nightmare like Gu did his first season here. Landrum, like Gu, can be a real spark plug. But yeah, minutes will be hard to find when McMurray is good to go.

Good to see Douglas start to contribute.

That was the worst college basketball team I have ever seen. EVER. I don't think it is close. Embarrassing almost to not win by 50...

Post game, Jank said Eli has a good shot. Hopefully he can hit that first three and it will all pour out after that. I like his play.

RPI has never meant anything early in the year. In the Doh era we were almost always one of the top RPI schools in the nation for the first few weeks. I do not know all the inter workings, but suffice to say, wait until we get to conference to care.
