The first one coming to mind is winning versus #7 Cincy in 2014 at Moody.

I think Louisville was top 10 when they came to Moody in 2014.

Sorry, you said wins. I guess that means we are 2-0 against top 10 teams over past four years.

Memphis in C-USA and maybe Utah in the WAC (Keith VH days) are the only two other schools I can think of that might have been ranked top 10 when we played them, but we didn’t win them if we did.

Good stuff!

So tied for highest poll position opponent win, and 2nd top 10 win since 1987.

The 80s was a good time to be at SMU. The wages of sin but it was fun for those of us there at the time.

I thought one of the Carl Wright/Butch Moore teams in the 80’s beat a top 10 Kentucky team.

We won at Kentucky in December 84 but they weren't ranked at the time. We were No. 8.

I do remember it being a big win at the time though - probably since it was at Kentucky.

Louisville was 19 when we beat them at Moody that season.

During this holiday season, to quote the immortal Thurl Ravenscroft, 'they were grrrrreat'

Also think some Sutton coached Arky teams as well as Phi Slama Jama teams.

Just looked it up, in 1983, Coogs were 17-2 when they visited Moody on Feb 9th. They were ranked #6 at the time per AP.

They also won at Chapel Hill that season.

I was at that game. But no it was Kentucky in an away game.
