Why is no one talking about the re-seating at Moody?

Has no one actually considered that if they keep their same donation that they might end up in better seats or, pardon my French, the same seats? If you decide to ‘quit’ or ‘wait it out’ you will 100% end up in worse seats when you decide you want back in because it’s the cool thing again. I’d actually be willing to bet any $1k donor who isn’t in ‘premium’ seating that their situation either improves or remains the same.

If you are in the front row of 204 or in 103-105 and giving the minimum seat donation you are likely to be shuffled around. So we are talking about 50-60 account holders maximum. And they have all been given figures that indicate what it should take to keep those seats.

I would bet you are absolutely correct. Those that renew are highly likely to be happier with their seats, in the vast majority of instances.

Nice to see new money for the IPF. But this tweet also explains how that $1 million-plus number can exist in connection to this re-seat. They're essentially counting a donation toward brick and mortar as a re-seat donation as well.

Yeah, the new structure to giving is good in that it gives credit to donors for all athletics-related giving, but it makes the comparison numbers pretty meaningless as a measure of the re-seat's success.

I'll be interested to see how it all plays out over the next 5-10 years.

Yes, not complaining at all about the new structure for giving. It makes more sense.
But agree -- a year-to-year comparison for Moody-related donations is impossible now.
The only true metric is going to be butts in seats, something we won't see until November.

Somehow I don't think they will have to make the same donation next year to be able to keep their basketball seats like most others will.
