I look forward to seeing Hunt and Mike running the floor on the receiving end of Whitt alley oops.

there no doubt he's a freak athlete and plays defense very well with his ability to block shots and be quick enough to defend the perimeter, I haven't seen any video or have heard anything about him being able to shoot the 3. does anybody know if he can? would be deadly for 6'8 3,4 combo who could shoot. defiantly would get playing time early.

Btw I did confirm on the twitter machine that Jahmar Young also missed at least one game against Allen due to some kind of injury

From the Dallas Morning News:

To be fair, DeSoto hasn't exactly been at full strength either. The Eagles' rim protector, 6-foot-9 SMU commit Jahmar Young, has missed time recently with an ankle injury. And his post partner, fellow SMU commit Feron Hunt (DeSoto's most valuable offensive player at the forward position) is out 3-4 weeks with a torn muscle

Also, I've seen him play in person so far 4 x's, hope to see him a few more x's this season. He has a nice shot/form. Didn't really attempt any 3's, but watching him warm up prior to each game, he should be able to extend his range without any issues.

Those two guys along with Isaiah are going to be a huge addition next year. It is going to be a lot of fun.

With Chargois, ray, Mike, hunt, young and agau, at least we shouldn't have to worry about frontcourt depth next year...

As good as it’s been since LB signed on I truly believe our best years lie ahead.

Whitt, McMurray, Jarrey, mike and Chargois starting 5 next year? Holy cow.

Douglas, landrum, Hunt, young, agau, Ray off the bench.

Basically the basketball equivalent of the old "2nd team linemen play every third series" from years past in football. Loads of depth.

We had a lot of depth inside when we had Canaan Cunningham coming third off the bench too. Then we'll complain about too much depth and lack of development--I still hate we couldn't get Moreria back up to speed after his injury

Real exciting lineup. Young is a redshirt candidate. He needs to develop and Jank is never going to be a play 10-11 guy rotation type of guy. Young has exciting athleticism despite being lightly recruited. He is more a 2-3 year down the line prospect who could potentially become something good.

If you haven’t seen Hunt play you should. Hunt will be good at the Jarrey Foster role going between 3/4 spot throughout his career. His ceiling is very high.

there's still time though for Young to make a big leap his Senior year--he's was making big strides at the end of summer and start of this season. I think unless a guy is injured or "Ben Moore" skinny then go ahead and play him because you'll never get it back if he's the player you hoped he was

I said this on the pay site but it bears repeating: If McMurray does sit out this entire year it's a bummer.
But the flipside is two full years of Whitt, McMurray, Mike and Chargois together. Add Jarrey to that next season and then sprinkle in some Hunt/this years's frosh/young. Then add the 2019 class. Yow!

What are you talking about? Yannik was a big part of that LB tournament team (and he also got what should ahve been the winning rebound in that game). We didn't take advantage of some of his offensive skill set but he was a great player for us.
