mcmurray will be a beast,, 16 points after sitting out a year, if he can average just around 10-12 ppg off the bench and we can play solid defense from here on out we will be very dangerous, such a huge addition to the team, would like to see him share the love and get some of the freshman involved while were winning by so much, but ill take it. still have a huge question mark playing away from Moody being 1-3 as of right now. but definently looks like the team is starting to gel after that TCU loss.

guys played great D tonight holding Boise to 22 1st half points. They have shown in big games against good teams how tough they can be and it has really helped that Chargois has been staying out of early foul trouble. Still need to develop more low post backup. Hope to see more minutes from Agau and Ray against Cal-Poly

also outrebounded a team that was +8 on the season by 7-playing small ball for much of the game

He may not be coming off the bench. We will see, but that guy is high energy and can shoot.

I think he will likely be 6th man but play starting minutes. Who would he replace Whitt?

He definitely is a high volume shooter. There were a couple of moments where he played one on one and was not even thinking of passing. That pull up 3in transition would have gotten him benched under LB. he needs to settle and play more team ball but kid can hoop. He is a big piece for this team and will take douglas and lamdrum’s minutes.

We need a guy that can create his own shot-I think he makes us better by adding that dimension

This so much. The only other guy on the floor that can really create his own shot is Jarrey

Jahmal HAD to be a ball hog at USF...they are horrible

When he first came in, he played with the flow of the offense. When he finished the game with the subs, he just did his own thing. I expect more of the former on most nights.

He did have one sequence with the starters where he did his best Kobe impression with a fake to one side and spin back into a long jumper. That was not a good shot. Still did so many things well otherwise though

That game was total dominance by SMU. Beat Boise soundly in virtually every category other than giving them too many offensive boards, but some of that came when the game was well in hand and of course can be attributed to our playing small ball. Looks like we are once again going to have a 6 man rotation but what I liked about last night is that nobody had to play more than 35 minutes.

Something rather significant happened last night -

Looked up at the scoreboard about 8-9 minutes into the game and all of our starters were on the floor and each had 0 fouls.

Think the first foul may have been that bogus call on Shake where he drove to the basket and was fouled by Boise and somehow they called Shake for offensive.

If we stay out of foul trouble, we can play some serious ball. Wish we had those refs at the @TCU game. They were really letting them play for a considerable portion of the game.

Obviously did not last - about 12 min into the second, I also recall looking up to see that 4 of our 5 starters had 3 fouls.

That was nice but they hadn't played anyone this year outside of Oregon. Also their coach basically played most of their starting lineup til the end for some strange reason.

He not only provides a scoring spark off the bench but he's a great insurance policy should someone get into foul trouble like Whitt did against TCU (or BenE sometimes or Jarrey who is usually defending someone bigger than him). In the back court, we are golden (Douglas can even come in and give us "ok" minutes). The only issue I see for us is the front court because Akoy is just nowhere near 100% poor guy. Chargois is a star and Ray is serviceable (good rebounder, defender, good IQ, just doesn't give us much on the offensive end which isn't really necessary).
