Larry Brown effect seems to be wearing off with regards to team play

Yup. A coach that retires usually has a lasting effect 1yr into the future. After that. Well...

Our assists to baskets is still really good when we play bad teams

especially when that last coach costs his successor 9 scholarships over 3 years

Wasn't Orsini adamantly opposed to hiring The Godfather?

Had Chris Collins lined up though

This is very confusing. So are you saying we would have been better off hiring Collins than LB? That's a tough argument to make, and one I would argue strongly against, even with the sanctions. Jank vs Collins is an interesting comparison I suppose. But have you looked at Northwestern this year?

No. I'm saying that Collins was teed up and we wound up with LB. The other poster was the one with the opinion of what could've /should've happened differently.

Got it, thanks. Can't imagine what we saw happen under LB would have happened under too many others, at least that quickly and dramatically. Not sure how that can really be argued.

No in terms of sustaining it going forward, that is a different discussion and I think Collins vs Jank is an interesting comparison or debate.

Once Semi turned pro this was always going to be the toughest year to bridge the NCAA probation gap with only 3 returning players. Don't know why anybody thought we were a Top 25 team in the first place-the hope was that the team could improve during the year enough to compete for an NCAA bid by March

We do seem to get a little bit ahead of ourselves here....don't we?

Just wait for the "this is exactly where I thought we would be this season I had us at 12-5 with a 2-2 start in conference play" post

We aren't a Top 40 team right now. Maybe not Top 50. Just relax and watch them develop. We'll have nice rotation when Akoy and MacMurray arrive if Chargois is for real. Still some time for Douglas to show what he can do. Not to mention deadly sharp-shooter Ben Emelogu. We need to peak in March

Stallion knows what Akoy's squat max will be in 2019 and the spread on our first round NIT game vs NC State
