I remember the official melt down thread from last year that surfaced after the Boise-USC road trip.

This one is just as much fun!

I don't know what it is about that place but the ponies never play good in Cincy. The wife an I hated that place in the 3 times we went there.

The only thing that concerns me about our 2 losses away from home is that Agau has not gotten better even as he has healed up and that McMurray seems to want to play 1-on-1 basketball and isn't gelling with our offensive philosophy and due to his size is also a liability on the defensive end.

With Chargois healthy we don't lose to Tulane and we play Cincy better, so bad timing on him getting sick. Gotta get right and win against Temple at home to rebuild some confidence and at least be competitive with Wichita at their place. I'm confident Jank will get us right before Wednesday.

Why? Do we not have the ability to make the tournament if we lose to Temple? Were there some rule changes recently?

Because:

-- it's home loss (lost are amazing record)
-- it's continued downfall
-- would most likely require a conference tourney win to stay in

So, wait... we had a good period of time with significant recruiting limitations, lost a recruiting class because the parts didn't fit, and now we are paying for it? Sounds kind of reasonable.

Good thing is I still think all 4 of the frosh will be good. The core of the team is good. We might not be in the elite just yet this year, but I think we are going to be fine...

Still amazed at how SMU and Arkansas are mirroring each other. After 2 road losses Arkansas lost at home last night which is a rarity for them. But they lost by 21 and the game was basically over with 10 minutes left in the first half. Their gurus say they are still very much in the hunt for an NCAA bid so I will not give up on us quite yet.

Or +20,000 game home winning streak sure went up in smoke quietly

Might as well keep this thread alive for the rest of this season because this team is not going to win 25 games and might not make it to the NCAA and for some that will be a major disappointment. With every loss, and most of us know there are several more coming, some are going to freak out and bash our coaches and players. This would be a good thread for them do do that in.

Jank, McMurray and Whitt deserve some heat right now.

So this is your thread to vent in

It's not venting, it's just reality.
There's a balance between meltdown and acknowledging issues that need to be corrected.

We could easily lose six more games. We’ll be lucky to see the NIT.

That is the Chad effect rubbing off on the piglets BB program, but at least SMU's soccer team made the dance.

Yes when I created the thread, I used the term “melt down” as a tongue in cheek comment. This is simply a safe place to express frustrations.
