Fast Track with Jank

This hour of radio did not reassure me.
It sounds like we rested the players over the week off instead of practicing a lot. When asked about free throw shooting he mumbled about not wanting to get into the players heads about it instead of saying they had everyone shooting FTs 30 mins a day everyday. Bad vibes.

Sounded like a hour of a defeated man

Next up, Rich interviews the chairman of the fed who will tell us its about more than dollars, cents, interest rates and inflation

That’s not promising. Remember anything else? I missed it.

I want to believe Jank knows this team best, but that doesn’t sound like what we needed. I just hope this team doesn’t fold after a real tough game at WSU and likely losing 4 in a row. I wouldn’t let them out of the gym without paying for it in FTs (what my HS coaches did).

And he should get into their heads... they are sub-300 nationally in FT%. That’s SOO bad.

He said heading into the season that this would be an up and down year. Sounds like things aren't gelling.

Real test to see how long you allow the team to gel on their own and then when you really amp up the intensity and take control of things. Larry would have been in their faces by now. This is Jank's first real test.

Rich - why is the team playing so flat?

Jank - other teams have figured us out

Good point. There is a lot of truth to that imo. With vey little inside game teams may have figured us out.

I have no problem with giving the guys some rest, especially coming off the losing streak and having a week between games...not to mention the sickness that apparently more than one guy has been dealing with. This team needs our bigs back and healthy so we can develop some low post scoring threats but we also need to knock down threes and that's as much a confidence thing as anything. Even in our losses, we had plenty of good looks that just aren't going down like they were early.

Sounds like no more tweets from Rothstein saying, "Tim Jankovich, Mad Scientist".

Everyone bookmark this thread. One day Wikipedia will showcase this as a hilarious case of "armchair quarterbacks." lol

As Jank said in the post game, drawing up those 30 footers took some effort.

Imo Janks big contribution in this game was going zone, perhaps out necessity with what happened to Jarrey. We will take a 70% shooting half and an otherworldly performance from Shake any time.

When these guys are knocking down threes, they can play with anyone
