with all that money and a huge alumni base they are going for a private sponsor just like Tech, NTSU, Houston etc. That's the future

Arkansas just got its $44,000,000 SEC proceeds. Just enough to handle their buyouts. What do we get? $3,000,000?

Media rights are only about $2 Million per team. In addition, they get some NCAA Tournament and NCAA Bowl revenue but the Bowl revenue is minimal unless an AAC team is in the Access Bowl

They are going to put it on campus? The talk around Austin for awhile was UT might build it on the east side of I-35.

UH's basketball arena is named after the board chair, Fertitta, who donated $20M. Similar to Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena at TCU, Moody Coliseum and Ford Stadium.

There is TDECU Stadium http://www.chron.com/sports/cougars/art ... 607066.php
and USC has corporate rights to the Coliseum. Might as well get corporate naming rights if it's a better deal than an individual donation.

Yup. You would think we would be doing this way ahead of UT. We’re too proud?
