If we can't put at least 8 scholarship players on the court, I think you are right about that.

Oh I completely disagree on that. SMU, surprisingly, offers high profile and guaranteed attendance.

If we can manage 2 more wins, I bet if we get home-court advantage until we lose. Probably game 2.

I thought the NIT gave the top seeds the home court option/advantage and I don't see SMU earning even a # 4 seed to get a 1st round home game at this point, barring Shake, Gu and Ethan returning to full speed right away. I think it's the CBI or CIT that teams can bid for home games. Unless this team gets healthy(ier) soon, they could lose out and be going nowhere this post season.

Last year the NIT gave 18-14 Syracuse a #1 seed, 18-14 Iowa a #1 seed, 18-14 Illinois a #2 seed, 19-14 Georgia a #2 seed and 17-15 Clemson a #2 seed.

In other words, schools that draw decent crowds.

Given our recent NIT home court success, my bet is they would give us a favorable seeding.

If we don't finish well enough to get a top 4 seed in the NIT, then I doubt we'll have a postseason at all... I'd bet on a 2 seed, if that's the way the season goes.

I'm not so great at predicting these things though, so who knows...
