Good Ole days of Moody Magic

Moody packed to the rafters, building shaking to the foundation... seems like a distant memory now. There has been much talk over the last two seasons, about the decline of The Mob. But, have you noticed how the makeup of The Mob members has changed? Many members, look like they would be just as comfortable with [deleted] hats on their head or at an anti Trump protest. When we needed 5th year senior Ben Gu the most, he has faded into the timid, brick shooting, turnover machine of old. Have at it! lol

The Mob is not what they used to be either, they are a bunch of snowflakes.

So are the general fans getting the blame too or just the mob?

Amen. There needs to be a tryout sadly to be a mob member. I use to remember all the heckling and getting players and coaches into technicals.

Didn’t smu administration put a lid on a lot of the heckling? I might be wrong

You don't need to heckle to be rowdy, they just aren't what they used to be.

Seriously? Unless you were yelling profanities, I can't believe they'd do that.

Once was for profanities, the other was for "being too personal" after shouting that a guy had bad hair.

I actually thought the crowd was excellent yesterday. There was just zero to get excited over.

Agreed. We had the kind of crowd you would expect for a "big game" against a top 10 opponent and the leader of the AAC. Unfortunately, this was a mismatch made even worse by Ethan's pre-game injury. I was appreciative of the fact most stayed even when it became a blood bath. Rare for SMU fans to do that.

I was at the game and the crowd couldn’t get into it because after we went down 7-5, since went on a 15-2 run or so, and it was pretty much church. You could see we were outmanned in every facet. Cincy was there to send a message and get payback. They’re a solid team that this year, is the class of our league.
Much like we were last year.

We stayed until Varsity was sung....most people seemed to start vacating around minute 5 or 6 to go. Gonna be a long rest of the season if Shake and Ethan are out. We have been spoiled for so many years now with outstanding bball....hard to return to mediocrity.
