Yes. There were several times Chargois and Akoy both would shot fake and do nothing with it when they could have swung the ball to get someone an open look or create a poor rotation in the D. The ball stops wayyyy to much in our O.
Shots fakes are good, but when your not a threat for the shot they are bad. Just swing the ball. You have to shot fake with a purpose. Chargois earlier in the year was very effective with his, because he was hitting 3s so guys would close out hard. That isn’t the case anymore. An effective shot fake will get you into the lane for a shot or help create a better shot, but when you aren’t a threat it kills ball movement and just stops the ball. Akoy shot faking is laughable.
There is a lot wrong with our O right now.
