Cincy with 14 offensive boards on 32 missed shots; just have more energy and length than SMU

Rebounds

Cincy 36-23

kind of reminds me of Wichita St at Moody where we played decent on the floor but lost rebounding by 20

It's not going to be fair for the people who just see the final score on the ticker because it was closer than that.

I think the refs have done a great job. (Maybe Jank disagrees... lol) I wish every game had this few PFs.

Our guys are about as obviously gassed as I've ever seen a team... I think they gave it all they had.

I like to think we're beyond "moral victories", but I'm still proud of them.

My guess is that Jank got T'd up because of the fouls discrepency and the fact that our guys have been getting mugged at times

100% this. Moral victories suck but absolutely could not ask any more from this group - they gave everything they had and then some. Not sure how many teams in the country could play Cincy as tough as we did today with only 7 scholarship guys, and none of those being far and away the two best.

That's still pretty low for a team physically outmatched as badly as we are... it's pretty normal for the smaller, tired team to have more fouls.

I get why Jank is mad, but I've seen some terrible officiating this season and I'd take these guys almost any day.

Landrum managed to play 60+ minutes this Tournament without an assist. And he can't drive and score either

SMU's entire team had 7 assists

Well, I absolutely hate our conference record, but at least we're >.500 overall.

Back in the Doherty days, I'd have killed for a single conference tournament win... so I guess there's that.

For the sake of the AAC, let's hope a much better Cincy team represents the conference in the NCAA Tourney. That was not a very good performance by the Bearcats today. Our guys defensive effort had something to do with it, but Cincy did not play with a lot of intensity today
