announced a couple of weeks ago. Hard Rock Cafe
Any idea where it was announced? Couldn't find anything on their website (only about the women's tournament). Unlikely to attend, as someone else mentioned it's not the most fan friendly area right now, but very curious about the other schools and format.
Crap schools so at least we have a chance to win.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it. Hopefully Penn St can build on their moderate success last year and we can play them. Looks like one more "host" school so hopefully another from a top conference anyway. Looks like we'll have at least one game at Moody with one of the "visitor" schools, maybe more than one.
Sure hope we have some other solid non-con games lined up other than TCU and maybe one or two from this tourney...

I don't think the "visitor" teams even go, they just place road games at the main teams gyms. Most of these tourneys are this way, like Preseason NIT and Atlantis.

Correct. We will play 2 of Jacksonville St, North Florida, Western Carolina and Elon as campus games at Moody early in the season. Then will go to Cancun and play games against 2 of (Wright St, Penn St and the 3rd team). Penn St would be a good game. Wright St was top 150 in KenPom last year so they were a good low-major and won their conf tourney. Jacksonville St. was top 150 KenPom too. They aren’t big games but not RPI killers. The other 3 campus game teams were bad.

@JonRothstein
Bradley is the fourth team in the 2018 Cancun Challenge along with Penn State, SMU, and Wright State, per a source. Matchups are still TBD.

Wow, better off just staying home or just scheduling Penn State at a neutral

Knowing our luck - Key players will probably all get sick and be out for the post Cancun games.

Not a very good field. I am definitely concerned about our schedule this year, surely there are some high quality opponents (home or away) that just haven't been announced yet for some reason?

Or beat Penn St by 30 and then lose to Bradley and Wright St

We have a lot of unknowns on the team this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Jank is scheduling down a little bit to allow the team to come together early.
