That Cincinnati meltdown is 10x worse than our two past screw ups. How do you blow a 22 point lead?

Cincy and “Mick the Elf” win the award for the most embarrassing loss of the tournament.

Absolutely.

But to be fair, they've represented the conference much better overall.

SMU needs to stop complaining about our tournament seeding until we win a game. And the AAC needs to stoping asking for respect until we get a team in the sweet 16.....

Not even close.

But it was embarrassing.

I think Virginia and maybe even North Carolina would disagree.

Guess the AAC is not a "great" basketball conference after all. Another ugly post season for the entire conference. Our 4 post season teams go 2-4 and can't survive the 1st week. It's been a fun tournament so far, though. Better than usual with all the upsets and Cinderella stories.

We will be fortunate to even get a 6 seed next season now.

Yep. This exactly.

Makes our previous complaints look even less valid when our conference - across the board - and SMU continuously fall short of even low expectations.

At least Houston choked against a better seed.

I liked complaining.

True.

Cincinnati and Wichita State were just total embarrassments though.

And if we would have been healthy we would have made the tournament and gone out in the first round as usual too.

I feel guilty saying it, but SMU not being at all involved has made it a little easier to enjoy... lol

UC has the best team it’s had in 20 years and couldn’t make the 2nd weekend. WSU has a preseason top 5 team and goes out in 1st round. Embarrassing. This was the year the league was supposed to build some cred. UC and WSU will be worse next year even if Evans and Shamet return which is 50-50 at best. UH will be good but probably not better without Rob Gray.

Never thought I would see UC with Gary Clark and co blow a 20-pt lead. AAC doesn’t deserve any credit at this point.

The UC message board is in total meltdown as you would expect, many calling for Cronin to be fired. Also a lot of profanity.
Long live Inez Perez!
