Sadly, he still misses the perspective that he was overweight that season until
The last 10 games. He had not compiled a full body or work. Then he started the next season academically ineligible which again deprived him of showcasing his skills and called into question his judgment. No team is spending a 2nd round on that. Much less a first. All that aside, he was fun while he was here but SMU tried to help him.

If I recall, it was a history class he was missing. Perhaps had he studied he could have learned what happens if you do not make it in the big leagues and do not have a plan B.

Markus was not taking advanced PE like many athletes. I’m proud of him for that

At Temple....where he put the team on his back down the stretch in front of his very extended family.
The picture where he's slamming home the dagger on an out of bounds save from Sterling. The Philly locals chanting LB...LB...LB behind me.

We were onto something.

Just depends on the individual’s situation imo. Jordan Wyatt had a second round grade with a year of eligibility left and Coach Morris persuaded him to come back another year. He then tore his ACL in the year he came back and now who knows if he will get back to that level.

Either way, MK and Nic Moore got screwed by SMU not appealing that NCAA penalty.
They deserved one more shot in the tourney.
Weak. Very weak. Disgraceful, in fact.

Absolutely. Yet another terrible decision made by an administration who show an absence of good judgment almost every time a big decision is required.

that's wildly inaccurate

He possibly pulled a groin today. Also, one of the former SMU players told me that about Jordan.

I think the timeline is a little messed up. He wasn't going to come out after his sophomore year. His Junior year he had the 3rd round grade and was looking to go to the NFL, but then tore his ACL at the end of the season.

He was a redshirt soph (redshirted in 2014) which would have allowing to go pro like Manzie and Winstonl did. I was told a 2nd round grade going into the seasoning which he tore his ACL. Either way regarding the grade he should have gone considering what happened and is happening now.

geez-get your calendar out and try again. He was not a 2nd round grade-if he EVER was-at the time of the NFL Draft BEFORE his Junior Year (after end of his Sophomore year) . He actually had only played CB one year at that time. He was roasted as a Safety as a redshirt freshman. He likely wouldn't even have been on the draft board after his first year at CB (Soph year) -he wasn't even honorable mention All-AAC

Has anyone found info concerning MK's tweet this morning about LB? Assuming he's referring to Coach Brown -- health issues perhaps?

Praying for LB.. always will be my guy!
