The fact is that there are a lot better shooters across the board in youth basketball now than every before. If you go watch youth ball, there are a ton of players who grew up watching Steph and have figured out how to jack up quick shots and be very efficient from three. None of them can shoot free throws, but it is amazing what they can do from three and how far out their range is.
That breadth of shooters will allow a lot of teams to hang in against athletically superior teams. You will see more and more of these types of upsets and close scores as we move forward.
