I remember watching SMU play games like this. We had such athletic and dynamic players. Well that was then and this is now.

Will be interesting to see how this result affects the bracket projections.

Increases the odds of 4 bids but might be in those play-in games

Another great American game!!!

Houston leading Cincinnati 37-35 at the half.

Good exposure for the conference on CBS too.

Houston wins the American regular season championship absolutely throttling the Bearcats in Cincinnati.

85-69 final.

I saw the score and I thought about how I used to track the scores of our OOC opponents over the last few years because it actually mattered. I miss those days. BTW, G-town up 17 with 2 to play.

Used to check the live RPI site every day and pretty much all evening every night. Haven't looked at it since probably last February.

Remember the good ol days when Harry managed a dedicated thread to various ranking measures. That was fun.

Or they could pull a SMU and lose their 1st round game!

Correct

Many b*tch and moan that the AAC is a 2 or 3-bid conference, but for the most part, all this conference does is crash and burn in the tourney*

UConn of course the exception

Bradley wins the MVC Championship and heads to The Dance. Lipscomb lost to Liberty in the Atlantic Sun finals and will have to settle for NIT. Both of those championship games had pretty exciting finishes. Wright State still alive in The Horizon semifinals.

I think that may change this year.

Houston is really good.... great guard play, tons of senior leadership, depth.

UCF is the matchup from hell. How do you prepare overnight for what they bring? That should help them through the first weekend and possibly farther.

Temple has guys capable of beating really good teams but they can [deleted] the bed just as easily.

I do think Cincy is suspect. They are capable of really good performances but they are so inconsistent minute to minute that I see them as a candidate to be upset early on unless they really put it together for 40 minutes.

I'd guess that it's possible we could put two in the sweet sixteen.... or none.

I'm really hoping this is a breakout year for the AAC.
