one interesting thing is that SMU has an inside core of 6-8 guys in Chargois, Mike and Hunt who have 2+ more years of eligibility to build on. Now Chargois just might go pro but if he stays we are pretty set there. I wouldn't have included Mike 10 days ago because I was pretty unimpressed with him-he seemed lost-but he's getting it now-at least on Offense. He's still got a higher ceiling than his current level of play. For a 6-8 kid, he's got a great move off the perimeter with a dribble drive but he's not always finishing yet. I still think this team could use a rim protector. Chargois is making strides on Offense and rebounding but he struggles on defense.

This team has not shown me much on D but some of that can be attributed to the scrimmage like atmosphere that has returned to Moody. Will be interesting to see how this team responds when a real opponent visits this week and they play their 1st game this season in front of an enthusiastic crowd (at least I hope more than the 1500 show up)

Guessing somewhere between 50-66% of that number for “actual” attendance.

Watched the first couple of games and Oh my.. super bad... Even from a football persons point of view. No spacing, passing, just lost on the court.

Today… WOW much better. The Mike guy showed he can play and the young Feron guy. Oh Boy he has an upside.
Good spacing, better passing that lead to some of those lay ups and dunks from years past. Dixon is a nice pick up and glad Jarrey is back.

We will see on Wednesday. See you there. I'll take a nap after work.

Go Mustangs.

I agree. We were guessing 2,500 - 3,000 people range. Finally got a little noise going at the 2 minute point, when they got down to a 7-8 point lead. Hit a 3, and everybody exhaled.

My good friend, Jill R, drives in from Weatherford for the games, and is absolutely the best fan I have ever seen. Constantly yelling accolades, and dancing at every cheerleader cheer. Listen for a girl's voice during the broadcasts, and I bet it is Jill !

Whitt did not have his best game, and Jarrey is either holding back or just not there yet.

I am encouraged by the flashes I Mike is showing and Dixon brings immediate energy to the floor.

Very interested in what we see vs froggies Wed.
