Still not a fan of the huge arenas for college basketball. Prefer the 9-11K range.

They caught lightning in a bottle with Jim Boeheim.

He was a student athlete there and has been quite content staying in upstate New York.

Prior to his arrival (as a player) Syracuse had only made 1 NCAA tourney appearance.

The Carrier Dome seats 34,616. 2nd largest arena is Rupp at 23,000. Let’s see if the Carrier Dome will be as functional post-Boeheim.

Here in Las Vegas we have the Thomas & Mack which is seats 18,000. Back when UNLV was good it would sell out but times have changed and now even if 10,000 show up for a big game it feels empty which is depressing. However, the venue is great for the community. There are so many concerts and other events, the location is great, parking is plentiful. I'm excited for UT.
