who was the last SMU player to average 20 ppg?
McMurray getting close to 19 after this game

I believe it hasn't happened since Ira Terrell. Semi averaged 19

Certainly happy we won but I can’t remember a game when we missed so many layups and point blank shots....
Before we get too excited remember that ECU and Tulane are two of the worst teams in our conference... we totally out manned both of them.

That said, We’ve played better with Jarray and Hunt looks like he could develop into quite a player.

I think we’ll know more following the UCONN game where we have to play on the road against a competent team.

Worrying thing is that McMurray was playing sick... who is next? Tends to run through the whole team.

Yeah. Sick on a road trip. Tough.

UCONN will be really tough and a much better gauge of where this team is.
Can’t blow layups and get out-rebounded like last night.

Free throw shooting has been much better and they are getting to the line plenty. Perhaps the biggest change from early OOC is the emergence of an inside game.

I just posted statistics in a new thread, but our offensive and defensive efficiency have improved quite significantly from early OOC. We are taking players 1v1 and winning, which is really helping us on offense. More aggression. Someone brought it up in another thread, but it will be interesting to see how we perform against a zone, because we haven't seen it in a while.

Our defensive efficiency I think is improving because of Jarray and shortening the rotation.
