8 p.m. CT tip, ESPNNEWS

Houston 16-1, 3-1 Conf
SMU 11-5, 3-1 Conf

ESPN Matchup Predictor
HOU 54.2%
SMU 45.8%

This is likely the best team we see this year roll through Moody. Will red hot shooting SMU show up or will we get run out of the gym?

Barley House at 6 pm before the game. Have a group meeting so bring it on Mustangs.
Win this game and that will show me something. Let's do our part and get our rumps in a seat.

Will students finally be back on campus? Any idea if fraternities & sororities have been approached about attending this game in particular?

Probably not. The SMU bball Instagram account sent out a cringeworthy story with players begging the student to come. Really good look.

I doubt it. SMU is advertising $17 lower level tickets for young alumni so they must be desperate.

School starts Thursday morning so there would be a chance that the students would go
to the game. Not sure what publicity they are getting. In my opinion - this would be one
of those games where there is a lot of electricity in the air and Moody Magic would certainly
help the Mustangs. Hope they show up and the team wins; however, Houston is for real and
we will have to bring our A game.

If classes start Thursday, it will be a REALLY sad commentary if Moody is not hopping with student fueled enthusiasm Wednesday night.

Classes start Friday. Then they’re off Monday for MLK and resume Tuesday. Very SMU academic scheduling.

Do we have to insult everything about our own school?

I fully expect attendance to be 50%. I think it was smart for them to lower ticket costs to try to get people back in. Honestly the $17 (+fees) should be implemented for all premium seats until we earn the right to charge more. Otherwise needs to be $17 or less. We are a mid tier AAC team and unless we can shock Houston; it's going to be the perception the rest of the year and probably next year.

If you are a college hoops fan, this is as good as it gets in Moody this year. Houston is a tough/fun team and I expect our guys to give them a fight.
