It's that time of the year - Here's the outlook for the Ponies, according to Jim Lunardi (Joe's Cousin):

There was already a lot to like about an SMU team that had just three bad losses prior to Thanksgiving. This is an SMU team that has managed to win every game it has played in 2019 against the Tulane Green Wave, a feat that has only been equaled by every other team that has played the Green Wave in 2019.

True, Tim Jankovich’s team will get one more Quad 1 chance when it visits Houston in the last game of the season. In the meantime, however, the Mustangs have to hope their signature victory over a NIT bound Georgetown team is enough to get it done.

At the risk of overreacting to events, SMU isn't doing its seed any favors with the recent 95-48 loss to UCF. This situation is becoming clearer and clearer: A four game win streak vs. American conference opponents starting on March 14th would position the Mustangs as a tournament lock. While the last time the ponies won 4 consecutive games vs. AAC opponents the lineup included Semi Ojeleye, Shake Milton, Ben Moore, Sterling Brown, and a healthy Jarrey Foster, Coach Jankovich has confidence that a hobbled Foster can repeat that feat as long as the Mustangs draw Tulane in all four rounds of the Conference Tournament in Memphis.

More updates to come in the next few weeks as the bubble continues to evolve.

Lol. If we were in the big 12 we would legitimately be on the bubble I think. Texas, TCU and OU all making the tournament right now...laughable
