Shake still in Philly's starting lineup and scored 11 points in last night's game vs their rival Celtics. Not to be out done, Semi also had 11 points for Boston in the Celtics win

I was curious if Shake’s 27 points earlier in the week was the most points ever scored by an SMU player in the NBA. I looked at basketball reference and Koncak’s career high was 25. Unless I’m overlooking someone, Jim Krebs has the most points by an SMU player with 36 in 1962 while playing for the Lakers.

Also, I wonder if last night’s Sixers/Celtics game is the first time two SMU players scored in double figures in the same game? I’m sure it happened with Konkac or Krebs playing against another SMU guy who was in the NBA for a minute, but still it is great to see SMU players making noise in the Association.

LA, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that during Jon Konkac’s entire lengthy NBA career, there was not one single SMU alum who played a full season in the NBA.

Semi with only one minute in the Celtics win vs the Jazz. That's been his pattern of late...3-4 minutes per game and a zero stat line or maybe one rebound once in a while.

Shake remains in the starting lineup with all the Sixers injury problems and had another solid game tonight in their win against the Knicks. Shake had 19 points on 6-7 shooting including 5-5 from three. He added 3 rebounds and 4 assists vs only one turnover, a steal and 2 blocks in 31 minutes

At least we have one positive story today. Shake tied the NBA record for consecutive threes made with 13 straight (over a three game stretch). He also put on a show on ABC finishing with 39 points and 5 assists.
