PonyPride, move or delete if needed.

Jeffrey Has Heart was started following my son's 8 hour open heart surgery in 2015 at age 16. He is now a Junior at SMU, and the foundation was founded in part by the generosity of many coaches and staff in athletics on the Hilltop, as well as many many others.

Jeffrey Has Heart (501c(3)) has helped 60+ different families in just 3 1/2 years with lodging, meals, and gifts while their children endure heart surgery. Each time a family is assisted it costs JHH $1,500 on average, which means your generosity has been upwards of $90,000 in the past 3 1/2 years.

3yo Jace is in heart failure.

Jace was born w/ HLHS, which is essentially half a heart. He received a new heart/kidney over a year ago and subsequently developed transplant cancer. The family is emotionally and financially spent.

By the way, the great Zach Line is on the Jeffrey Has Heart Advisory Board. He and wife, SMU alum McKenzie, are wonderful supporters.

Much thanks. We do what we can to give back, and are surrounded by giving supporters and volunteers. The recipient families are always blown away by the prayers and financial support during some of the most stressful times imaginable.

Last bump.

Update is Jace's cancer has shrunk in his liver. This is gigantic news since he basically has very little of an immune system. He continues to live in hospital but is hopeful, as are his parents.

Received a couple very nice donations.

As much as we like to beeyotch on PF about trivial things, y'all are actually changing lives and are a generous group of guys and gals. It means everything to these struggling families.

Thank you.

We actively have three kids in need that we are trying to help by Thanksgiving.

3yo Jace is back home after heart failure, and is doing a little better.

Channing just had his 3rd open heart surgery, and is not yet a year old. He is still hospitalized.

13mo Logan has Down syndrome and has endured two heart surgeries.

The common theme is the families are all struggling financially. We will do what we can to help. :D SMU fans have much to be thankful for, and we appreciate your support!
