I have a feeling that Sonny will have the football team there.

Looks like Jank has the fan base super motivated....

Regardless I’m excited to see the new guys. We have talent.

Last season basically dropped the hard core fan base back to the original 1500 although I'm not sure that had ever really changed, even under LB. There were just tons of bandwagon fans when we were suddenly winning AAC Championships.

I have a feeling that this is going to be a pretty good team especially if the ncaa ever speaks. There are a lot of new pieces that if they work together could do some pretty special stuff.

Who went? I had to coach and didn't get to go.

Jank saying that Hunt can shoot from three now is a big deal. We need some more players who can effectively spread the floor.

Anyone have some notes or thoughts on players?

Hunt is even more athletic this year and can hit the 3. Chaggy hit a couple of 3's behind
the longer line. Both the red and blue teams were very disciplined in setting up plays and
in playing defense. It was obvious that McNeil (transfer fm Cal) and Davis (transfer from TCU)
will be our best point guards - so getting NCAA wavers is important as most of you know, but
Bandoumel and Jolly both handled the point well so there won't be a huge drop off if wavers
are not granted. CJ White looked improved and I think he will be a help off the bench.
Everett Ray looked much improved from his freshman year and has recovered from his
injuries. He has taken on a leadership role. He definitely played good defense against
Chaggy. Douglass continued to look like a non-factor. Isaiah Mike looked good and scored
a few alley oop dunks. He continues to play good defense. Young seems to have gained some
confidence and played better than I have seen before. Both freshmen, McBride and Smith
looked athletic with some talent & possible backup point guard material. It will be interesting
to see how they play when they get a chance.

The main takeaway is that we will be much deeper without a big drop off between the first and
second teams. Jasey was in the gymn but did not play that I can remember, but he should make
us even more competitive especially with defense and rebounding.

Noticed the Mavericks had 9 guys in double figures last night in a game where they only scored 109 points...nobody over 14 points. Would love to see that kind of balance from this year's Mustangs. I can recall games in which we had as many as 5-6 guys score in double figures but usually only 3-4 guys hit that mark on any given night. I expect to see double figure nights from Mike, Hunt & Chargois frequently but sure hope some of the others will join them to give this team the balance it's going to need to be successful.
