Big game in Wichita tonight and Shockers have taken an early 12-2 lead over Memphis.

Wichita State and Tulane are the only AAC teams who are still unbeaten on their home courts

It’s not out of the question we take one of these teams in Moody but it’s doubtful.
They both have so much more depth than SMU.

These look like two tournament worthy teams but Wichita is just really tough at home. Might have the best bball fan base in the AAC. Glad we are going to get them at Moody for our only game with them this year...at least in the regular season!

And here comes Memphis. Shaping up as a great finish.

Pretty cool to have one of the huge conference games early in the season end in an inverse score.

How Houston and SMU play against those two teams and avoid bad losses is going to be the determining factor for either getting an NCAA bid. The non-conference schedule isn't going to matter for either school.

At the end of the day, you are either good enough to play at that level, or you aren't. It will be pretty clear cut by the end of the regular season.

The other issue is whether this SMU team is going to be good enough to win road games against lower level and mid level AAC teams. We might learn a lot at ECU tomorrow.

The next two games on the road at ECU and UH will tell us a lot about this team. Win those two games and maybe we are one of the Top 4 in the conference. Lose both, and we are
Bottom half.

Tulane up 11 at Temple at half. Road wins are tough to come by, especially for mid-level teams in this league and I consider both Tulane and Temple to be in that category

Cincy down by 3 at UCF also at halftime
