UGONN does us one last solid with a gutsy effort. Beats Memphis.

Once they get back in the big easy they can win again.

if SMU has a championship run in them, the schedule really couldn't be set up any better at this point albeit with 4 road games. We got past a streaking UCONN and highest rated team UH at home. 6 games to go-one with the weakest of the Top 3 (Tulsa) on the road. Two home games with quality middle of the standings teams breathing down our necks (WSU and Memphis) and 3 road games with among the weakest teams in the league (Tulane, USF and UCF). Never underestimate the value and difficulty of winning a conference game on the road but SMU couldn't draw it up any better under the parameters of the remaining games. I could see us winning every individual game left on our schedule AND I can see us losing every individual games on our schedule including Tulane-we've done it before

It would take 6-0 to win conference. 13-5 (5-1) might just tie us with Cincy, who has the tie-breaker. I agree that, although we have four road games, the remaining schedules for the five top teams favors the Mustangs.

After the display last night I don't think a 6-0 finish is out of the question.

Houston Remaining Games:
2 road games against UConn and Memphis
3 home games against Tulsa, UC and Memphis

Cincinnati Remaining Games:
3 home games UCF, Wichita St. and Temple
2 road games USF and UH

ECU could have really done us a favor in the OT loss to Cincy today especially since Cumberland fouled out in crunch time

Cincy is going to win conference. Houston has a really tough set of games ahead of them.

I think we get third, but Tulsa hasn't fallen apart yet...

Must win at Tulsa to have any hope of finishing 3rd

Tulsa has @Houston, @Temple, and @Wichita on their schedule.

Winning @Tulsa will do us a lot of favors by putting us in the drivers seat. But Tulsa still has a lot of tough road games remaining. In fact, I'd almost reverse it and state that it is a must win for Tulsa against SMU for them to have a shot at third, because (theoretically of course, because this has been a crazy season) the teams are likely tied going into the game.

PLEASE nobody blow a gasket.....but (provided SMU beats Tulane) the winning coach of the SMU-Tulsa game will have the inside track for AAC COY.

That's a great point! We were picked to finish 8th. People forget that.

Go Ponies!
