The NCAA in Trump Era

No this is not a political commentary. But it seems to me that Memphis (right or wrong) is adopting a rather presidential approach to the NCAA - your process is flawed. By the time a final determination is had, Memphis may very well go undefeated and/or win a national championship. Perhaps all 35 wins will be vacated, but not before Memphis (the school and community) reap the benefits.

After all, the NCAA’s actions have caused us to all forget about the FAB 5, Reggie Bush and USC, and our own Pony Express. Stories have been written and told about all 3 and no one cares or writes about Colorado’s championship in 1990.

When all is said and done, this may be the beginning of the end of the NCAA and its enforcement measures. In 2019, it’s better to be the Joker than Batman.

Well, the ncaa drew its gun and Memphis blinked. Wiseman has dropped his lawsuit and has been declared ineligible. He will apply for reinstatement. Not sure how that happens since a booster (his coach-Hardaway) gave his family $11k for moving expenses.

Ncaa wins this round.
