Per Sam Blum:
SMU got word that Darius McNeill was denied a waiver from the NCAA to play this year. The school will appeal.

I don’t think anyone ever spoke to this. I seem to remember someone seeing him on crutches a few weeks ago. Anyone?

It is really hard to understand why the ncaa would approve the transfter of a guy 32 miles away and not this one. But of course it is the ncaa. Hopefully we can win on appeal.
