I think it was the faithful 2,500 there last night. It did get loud a few times in the second half.

I did start hoping they would pull Chaggy in the second half more, as he couldn't hit the outside shots, and had what seemed like several turnovers.

We have some really athletic guys who can sky ! Maybe tried one or two too many alley oops.

Just Keep Winning !

According to many on this board, our chances at NCAA tourney are over due to the poor scheduling.

If the only way we will make the NCAA tournament is to win the AAC Tournament, shouldn't we all just plan to buy our tickets for March 12-15th in Ft. Worth and hope for a good week?

(I am, of course, kidding)

It is 1/9/2020 and we have a grand total of zero quad 1 wins. In fact, we have only played one team in the top 100 of the NET rankings, Georgia (#55). Tough to make a case for an at large bid with that resume. That said, we will have a chance for our first quad 1 win next Wednesday at Houston.

Or people might try going to the games to have fun, support their school and the players, and cheer for them to go 1-0 that day.

Unless there is a big rush event that night, of course.

Our fans would rather fire Jankovich than make the NCAA tournament.

I’ve had a lot of fun at the games I’ve been to this year. And I look forward to more.

It can happen. Look at UH with Turnaround Tom.

Conversely, one could argue that we will have several games against WSU, Memphis, and Houston to establish a track record with quad 1. We have plenty of opportunities to make the tourney; our room for error is just smaller because of the weak non-conference.

That said, if we can't finish top 3 in the AAC this year, we shouldn't be going to the NCAA, regardless of our non-conference schedule. So, at the end of the day, the weak non-conference isn't going to make a lick of difference. There literally isn't any reason to complain about it.

Our two losses are against a Georgetown team that bubble watch still has in the tourney and away in double overtime to a Georgia team that right now is in the second 4 out. Can we at least lose to a bad team before we start complaining? We have plenty of chances for that, starting this weekend.

No, you can't. And the statement above is incorrect, because those people aren't "fans".

I think Trump is a bad person. I think his policies are bad. I think they will have a negative impact on America.

That said, I would never, ever root for America to fail just so that I could be right about Trump. First and foremost, I am a fan of team America.

Predict what you want about Jank. Analyze his player selection and tactics (or lack thereof). No problem with that. At the end of the day, if he doesn't do a good job, we will lose and he will get replaced. If the team does well, he is going to stick around. As was the case with June back in the day.

But don't forget that you are a fan of SMU. Don't root against your team just because you want to be proven right about Jank. That makes you not a fan.

Wow. One person correctly points out that we're halfway through the season and we have ZERO quad 1 wins and the Jank brigade comes out streamrolling.
JasonB, it's insane to dismiss the weakest non conference schedule we've had in a long time. Jank handcuffed the team before the season started and IT IS an issue because now we have to rack up wins against WSU and Memphis, the only two tourney teams in the league. Houston is a fringe tournament team, depending on who you read, so wins against them would also help.
You can love SMU (we're all posting on this board so I'm guessing that's a yes) and also believe that Jank is not the right person for this program. We clearly have talent. A coach with a plan and philosophy could really do something special.
The apathy around the program is quite evident from the fans. Conference games with 2-3k in attendance isn't anything to smile about.
