The ECU loss should be an automatic disqualifier for a post season appearance. After the Temple and Tulane losses, they should cancel the rest of the schedule and put everyone out of their misery. Dead end team, dead end coach, dead end conference, dead end season. Next year will be no better.

Only question now is whether they can defend Moody because I fully expect 1 or 2 losses to end the season at UCF and USF. Will need to split the last 4 games to finish 10-8 and 20-10 and I think it will take at least two wins in the AAC Tourney and a 22-11 finish to even be considered for any post season invitation

We would be the worst 22-11 team in the country. Sucks to be a paper mustang.

Glad I spent my $$ this year early on foolsball. Hoops program is very weak...
Meanwhile JJ is 3&0

After the Wichita State debacle, it's looking like this team will probably get their arses handed to them in Florida this week and then the only question is who will hand SMU it's 1st round loss at the AAC Tourney in Ft Worth? Temple? UCF? USF? ECU? Tulane?

I believe he keeps his job with a first round tourney win. Don’t you think he got extended after the 30 win season? Before the loss, I thought he had excuses to return. Sanctions the last two years. Conference record improved. Very young team.

They will not fire Yank no matter what he does the rest of the season. We will have him back next year.

Nah they'll win two road games back to back then get blown out in the first round by a bottom dweller.

Third time in the space of a year I’m glad I thought better of a few days in Florida.

It’s so difficult being an SMU grad.

As dismal as things now appear with UCF destroying our guys, I could get really excited about the future of SMU basketball if I actually thought Rick Pitino was going to replace Jank next year

Just trying to imagine next year with no Davis, Hunt or Mike...not to mention how challenging it would be for even a staff of very aggressive recruiters to backfill those spots on next year's roster with quality replacements. And we thought this past season was disappointing?

For all the people complaining about Jank's recruiting ability. Two underclassmen declared exploratory NBA trials. They must be pretty good to think that. Losing them both in the same year would be tough on this program, but at least we know that Jank can recruit.
