Previously reported. Will be the 3rd bball arena the Moody Foundation is funding. Abilene Christian plays in Moody Coliseum, too.

The Moody Foundation made a $100M donation a few months ago to SMU so we have not been forgotten

SMU 11,000 students / Moody 7,000 seat capacity
UT - 51,000 students / Moody 10,000 seat capacity

My prediction - UT Moody will be the best sports venue in Texas

Another building that looks unlike any other building on campus. What a mishmash of a campus from an architectural point of view..........

That building in its form and seating arrangement is absolutely in fluenced by our MOODY. Several of their regents have been to games in the BROWN ERA and saw the benefit of an electric building.

I live not far from the UT campus. The new Moody will be within much shorter walking distance for students who live on or near campus. Student turnout at the Erwin is bad but it is also hard for folks in the burbs to fight the traffic into the campus area anytime between 3 pm and 10 pm. So they are obviously looking to get more student turnout and a rowdier environment. They could use it.

Hopefully our athletic department trademarked “Moody Magic””.
