Louisville and Maryland are in their last months of probation terms right now and are both competing for a final four
this year.
It's not like it has not been done before - in fact SMU recently did it themselves.
SMU was on probation 2011-2013 for committing major violations.
One year later we SHOULD have been in the NCAA tournament when we were snubbed. Nonetheless, we proceeded to go 109-27 in the following 4 seasons with two tournament appearances and an NIT final.
All it took was the right coach.
