that was back when we had a real coach and a quality team. Moody was packed. Now we have an empty arena and a mid-tier team at best. If jank is here next year the only people in the stands will be the janitors

It's back when we had a coach who was working [deleted] getting us sanctioned.

Worried that some people here seem to live such desperately depressing lives.

Ah yes - the Larry Brown and Keith Frazier years. It was fun until the truth about them came out and they left on the next available flight faster than you could receive sanctions from the NCAA. But let's [deleted] on Jank and White because it's really all their fault.

Back then visiting fans couldn’t get group tickets.

For remembering those days fondly? Go root for your Bears.

Those years were among the best in SMU basketball history. Right up there with some of the great years Doc Hayes and Dave Bliss had and of course we could pack 10,000 into Moody back then but with increased television and the national exposure it brought, I think the brief Larry Brown era with the newly refurbished Moody just might be the highest point I've seen in my lifetime.

Fondly and Best are a concerning choice of words. Would you use those words to remember the 2017 Astros World Series run and those parties at Epstein's with Prince Andrew?

During the end of the Bliss era remember games that were 20% SMU fans and 80% fans for Arkansas, Texas, etc. At least when LB was here in the new Moody, the crowds were always in SMU’s favor.

No Bliss-era crowd was ever 80-20 visitors. They were always majority SMU fans. Hell, even the worst crowd split for SMU v UT or A&M or the Hogs at Texas Stadium never approached 80-20.

Also it was 9,007 in the Bliss days, never 10,000.
