That was before the three point shot, so sagging into the lane made more sense. Longer shots have a lower success rates and back then there was no premium for success. Remove the three point shot from today's game and most long-range shooters disappear.

oh yeah-they preempted the game for Trump-and James Worthy dominated so much in early part of the game Jordan was almost invisible. Worthy had something like 14 of 18 first points for North Carolina and Ewing was called for goal tending 4 times in about the first 8 minutes. I hear Jordan hit a shot late though-and Worthy had a nice interception

I am pretty sure Doh knows a thing or two about scorin' since he used to play with a guy named Jordan.
