Very successful coach but this is looking like a Bobby Knight-like ending for Marshall's run ay Wichita State.

Not sure I agree with that other than the fact they are basketball only. With or without Marshall at the helm, WSU has always focused on hoops and I have no doubt they will invest in a quality replacement for Marshall assuming it comes to that. With UGone out, I do wish we had only 10 hoops members and could play everyone twice for an 18 game conference schedule, leaving more opportunities for non-conference scheduling.

I am sure the AD will talk to the players and take their feedback into account.

Marshall just needs to publicly apologize and admit to some missteps as head coach.

Maybe some sensitivity training.

There are 2 big money donor that may have to be consulted with before the university makes a move...

Would be nice to have an AD with a backbone at SMU.

Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall has resigned following an internal investigation into allegations of physical and verbal abuse, the school announced Tuesday.

The school and Marshall agreed to a contract settlement of $7.75 million to be paid over six years.

Considering the circumstances, why did he get any buyout at all?
