Anyone else see that the ncaa is going to act on a recommendation to give a blanket eligibility to all transfers. I think that they are deciding on Dec 16. It would be nice to get Yor onboard for conference play.

If he's as good as advertised, that would be awesome.

I think he is still injured, but Jasey is a hole in the starting lineup. If he replaces Jasey in the starting lineup, it is a massive step up.

Would have been nice to have him available for the AAC opener vs ECU on the 16th but at this point I just hope he's eligible and healthy/ready to go in January

I'd really like to see this team with Anei eligible

If all goes as I have heard he should be eligible as of the 17th, if not sooner. Hopefully the wrist is healed.

No surprise but great to see that Yor Anei is immediately eligible. Now we just need his wrist infection to heal so that he can get on the court and help us toward an NCAA tournament bid.

Good to see the double standard quashed...at least for this season

Top 10 impact transfer (McNeill might have been mentioned but he's not in this exception category)

Yor Anei, SMU
Anei averaged 7.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in two seasons at Oklahoma State before landing at SMU as a transfer this offseason. So the 6-foot-10 big man ought to be able help a Mustangs team that is already off to a 4-0 start. In fact, he could pair with veteran forwards Ethan Chargois and Feron Hunt to give SMU one of the best front courts in the AAC as the Mustangs come off of probation and look to challenge Houston for a league title.

We were on probation?!? I thought that ended a couple of years ago.

I believe there were no sanctions last year. I don't remember hearing of any at least.

Last season was our last year of reduced scholarships. The 2020-21 season is the first time we have had a full allotment of scholarships since before the sanctions.

All I know is that watching Anei come out of nowhere to block shots last night was a sight for sore eyes. Impact player indeed!

That first block by Yor where he just kind of grabbed the ball mid air was really nice.

He sure as hell stepped up competition at the 5. The effort from Jasey last night was outstanding.
