Great to see SMU finally moved into the field according to Joe Lunardi. Hopefully we can continue building on our success and have a strong finish to the season this time around!

They will drop from #5 after losing to Tulsa. Also, while the league will not get any respect it is almost impossible to run the table in this league and get the kind of win total that would be necessary to earn a 2 seed. Houston will likely end up with a 4-5 seed if they have an out of this world season, with a 7 seed the more likely outcome.

Just looking at results so far, it certainly appears there will be more balance in the AAC this year making it really difficult for any team to put together a stellar season. I would agree Houston will end up losing at least 4-5 games and probably end up as a 4-5 seed and that's assuming they have the best team in the AAC. Plenty of bball to be played and injuries/covid will play a big part in who finishes where.

This week we somewhat inexplicably dropped from 37 to 48 in the NET rankings. And then we dropped to 50 today. I don’t know why. In the same time period, Houston has moved up a couple of slots, I think.

The only brackets that SMU needs to worry about are the brackets that hold the book case to the wall.
