Holding on to "next four out" on ESPN.

It was encouraging to see Houston with a 2 seed in the NCAA official sneak preview.

Dayton losing to URI last night didn't help our resume

I am really hoping our sudden lack of games doesn't influence the NIT selection committee too much.

We have been bumped from the "next four out" in today's ESPN projection. Not surprising at all.

I am starting to worry about making the NIT now.

From Jerry Palm at CBS:

SMU – We don't know much about the 11-4 Mustangs, who have been sidelined with COVID issues since Feb. 8. They were swept by Houston and split with Memphis in the regular season. They also lost at home to Cincinnati, which is the only result that really stands out. They are not bracketed so that they can play Houston before the conference final, so if they get that far, we will have to see if beating Wichita State is enough help.

Potential bid stealer
SMU – While I have the Mustangs as a bubble team, it may be that they have to win the conference tournament to get in.

We are back in the ESPN "next four out" - maybe making the conference tournament final could get us in at this point?

Get past Cincy and I think we catch a break with Wichita State landing the # 1 seed rather than Houston

Bubble teams in action from CBS' Jerry Palm:

SMU vs. Cincinnati in AAC Tournament, 3 p.m. (ESPN2) -- SMU will take the court for the first time since Feb. 8, a break of 32 days. The Mustangs are 11-4 with four Quad 2 wins, but the only potential tournament team in that bunch is Memphis. SMU split their season series with the Tigers home-and-home. Their COVID pause canceled both scheduled games with Wichita State, so it remains to be seen whether the Mustangs can put together an at-large quality resume. They certainly cannot without winning Friday.
