SMU (6-0, 2-0 American) vs No. 5/5 Houston (7-1, 2-1 American)
Moody Coliseum – Dallas, Texas
January 3, 2021 – 6 p.m. CT
TV: ESPN2

With Caleb Mills out for Houston due to personal reasons this is a huge opportunity for SMU to win. It really is a must win game for this season to end the way we all hope. Given our poor non-conference scheduling that was further heightened by COVID-19 cancellations this is the marquee home game of the season and the only other opportunity to prove ourselves will be at Houston later on this season. Fortunately there aren't really any hand grenade games this season with the floor of the AAC really improving, but there aren't any top teams aside from Houston and SMU so we will need to win most of our games and prove ourselves today. Let's win this one to get back on track to the program we grew accustomed to under Larry Brown.

Agree this is pretty much a "must win" for any post season resume. We catch a break with Mills out, but tough having to face Houston coming off a loss. Guys better bring the intensity tonight

Tyson Jolly and Will Douglas are not on the bench. Everett Ray is, but is not in uniform and has some kind of a wrap on his left hand.

Who are these announcers? They are rambling and not calling the game.

Houston game plan is clearly to take Davis out of the game. Plenty of forced shots and too much playing into double teams on our guys parts

We have to be better in our passing.

Our spacing has been bad at times allowing Houston to trap guys in double teaming
