Cmon Mustangs! I really need a win against the bearcats so I can have a little bragging rights up here.

Hard to believe Cincy is 0-3 and alone at the bottom of the AAC standings right now. This is one our guys have to win if they want to hang with Houston, Tulsa, Wichita State and Memphis at the top of the conference standings.

What's the deal with Cinci? Youth or new coach instilling his philosophy? This is quite a fall. Seems to be lack of confidence and close losses with second year coach.

Watch for Jeremiah Davenport (6'7" guard) who had 16 vs. Tulsa as sixth man.
Bearcats only lost by 4 vs. Tulsa, 5 at UCF and 3 vs. USF. This could be a close game. Need big man production tonight.

I think the new coach needs to help instill some of the swagger those brash Cincinnati teams used to have.

Given our lack of signature wins, this is a must-win as it would be a "bad loss" unless Cincinnati really turns things around.

The biggest problem that they have is that they relied on Cumberland last year to take over a game which did. No one can do that when they get into crunch time.

Meanwhile, Cronin seems to have UCLA improving quickly vs what he inherited. If he closes on Hardy, Sallis & Baldwin to go with Watson and McClendon for next year, they could be a force again

Cincinnati: 2-6 overall, 0-3 in AAC games

Bearcats have one player, guard Keith Williams, averaging double digits in scoring: 15.5 points per game — eighth in conference

After starting the season with wins in two of its first three games (beating Lipscomb and Furman), Cincinnati enters game on a five-game losing streak ... but it's not like they're getting blown out — only one setback was by more than 10 points 83-68 vs. Georgia).

AAC losses came against USF (74-71), at UCF (75-70) and against Tulsa (70-66).

Sophomore guard Jeremiah Davenport is averaging 11.8 points per game over last five games. He's ninth in AAC with .509 shooting percentage and 12th in the conference in 3-point shooting (.414).

Cincinnati coach John Brannen is one of six active coaches in the country to win a conference regular-season title in each of the last three seasons: 2017-18 and 2018-19 at Northern Kentucky and last year at Cincinnati.
