There were about half as many fans in attendance as the UH game and the box score showed just over 1500 so that must be the number of available seats. I commend the ticket office staff for great customer service. Our seats were removed last game and they were very responsive and made sure our remaining tickets were correct.

It's just these second halves, at least for the last two games.

Its not though. The erratic play is there in the first half as well. Both of these games, with more efficiency on offense and consistent, organized defense would have been done at halftime. The other team just wasn't hitting their shots in the first half.

My concern that I raised after the first few games was to see how we would do on offense and defense in more of a half court situation. The answer, at least right now, is very inconsistent. We will see if consistency can be developed by the coaching staff over the course of the season.

The callout by the announcers in the second half on Hunt was correct - he didn't touch the ball a few possessions in a row, so when he does, he is going to force something. K Davis is the only player on the team who will attack the lane and then if nothing is there, back it out. The entire team would do well to listen and absorb the criticisms of the broadcast team.

We had a 9 point lead in the first half, blew it and then mounted a 5 point lead into halftime. It's not just the second half. It is erratic, wild play with forced shots throughout the entire game. This game should have easily been a blowout in our favor but turned into an unforgivable loss following a terrible second half against Houston and a weak non-conference schedule.

If SMU hit more wide open shots in the first half against Houston, they'd have been up to far more than one point. So that half seemed inspired.

A concerning thing is the lack of mojo, or creating your own karma, as Jank referenced on the post game. The last three halves have been lacking.

KD seems like the AAC POY so far.

Kelvin Sampson recently said that if you don't consistently make the 3 you shouldn't be taking it. Many of our players consistently miss wide open 3s. It's up to the coach to let them know they are not good shooters and look for better shots.

Shaggy seemed to think he was Bradley Beal the way he was jacking up 3's. Except Beal's go in and Shaggy's brick.

Probably a good thing the Temple game was moved to Monday to give us an extra day of practice on a good offensive scheme against the Owls.

Go Ponies!

I hope we practice free throws, too.

Wichita State is killing the team which embarrassed us. At least Cinn can show one victory in conference play.
