Email re next year’s schedule

Postby ponyboy » Wed Mar 17, 2021 12:35 pm

Our home schedule is highlighted by Dayton, UNLV and Vanderbilt, plus potential AAC opponents in Houston, Cincinnati, Memphis and Wichita State

From our athletic department for next year’s season tickets. I’m confused by the use of the word “potential” as regards our home conference slate. It makes the games with Dayton, et al seem more sure than our conference opponents. Any idea what’s being communicated?

I would think it has to do with the scheduling returning to pre-pandemic years.

Remember, this year was unique in that conference games made up the bulk of the schedule and for the first time, there was a home and home scheduled with every conference mate.

You would figure the schedule would go back to normal next season and there will be a handful of teams that we would only play once and that has yet to be determined, so won't know for sure what our home conference games are until early Summer.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

I think it was meant to say “potential contenders “.

Pretty smart move for them to start taking deposits in the wake of the NIT excitement.

Sometimes you only have the option to strike when the iron is warm.
