Because of a high student attendance this basketball season, the Sports Marketing Department wants to give something back.

The department is rewarding the organizations that come to support the Mustang basketball teams during the last few home games of the season with an event catered by Pluckers Wing Factory.

“Do two things at once. Support your team and possibly win a prize,” Marketing Assistant Whitney Cahoy said.

Any registered campus organization is eligible and invited to participate in this competition where the group who has the most accumulated points will win the catered event.

Each member of the organization must come to the table right at the front of Moody Coliseum and get their ticket punched and tell which organization they are with. At each game, when members sign in at this table, they will receive a voucher for a discount at The Green Elephant.

The upcoming games are at 2 p.m. on Saturday when the women take on No. 6-ranked Louisiana Tech. The other two games are men’s games at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 against Boise State and at 7 p.m. on Feb.28 against UTEP.

Coming on Saturday to the women’s game will count double points for an organization.

“The women’s game is such an important game to have all the fans here and students to cheer us on,” Cahoy said.

On Feb. 26 all the campus organizations that have had members attend all three games will be recognized.

Not to sound conceited or anything, but the band should win this.

Nah. We'd have to not only change the entrance we go in to, but we'd have to bother to get our free student ticket and have it punched at that table.... who among us is that un-lazy?
