We were basketball conference champions in 2015 and 2017 and were ranked in the top 10 during that period. In football, we were ranked 20 of 26 possible weeks the last two seasons.

I expect Douglas to be a frequent double digit scorer for Prairie View...might even average double figures for them.

I do believe the majority opinion on William Douglas is he will be a much better fit at Prairie View.

Have we finished the season ranked in any of those seasons? I don't think so, which means we had potential but haven't accomplished anything. Conference championships followed by one and done exits as the highlight of our last 30 years in major athletics is pitiful, especially when compared to our peers. We really need to step it up big time!

Yes, we’ve finished the season ranked.

Look, I’m all for stepping it up. And I think we have plenty of opportunity in basketball. No reason we shouldn’t be replicating Moody Magic. But if you’re not just over the moon happy with the direction that Sonny is taking us in THE most important sport, I don’t know how to help you.

That is a pretty big indictment on our lack of accomplishments if we are counting receiving votes as being ranked.

Success doesn't happen overnight. We're winning again. We're spending weeks at a time ranked. We're recruiting better than we have since the days of players being on payroll. We're one of the top spots for talented transfers. Our student athletes are getting drafted again (potentially three this year who all transferred in), and when they don't are getting good jobs. It is an inarguable fact that we are doing better in all facets of the most important sport than we have in 35 or so years. Are we where we want to be, or even close to our ceiling? No, but were a heck of a lot closer and getting closer rapidly.

We got 4th in the conference in basketball and 5th in football. 2 of our olympic sports basically didn't do their season.

This "it's all good, man" mentality has to change if we want to dominate the AAC. I agree that football seems to be on the right track but 5th is 5th, and in 2019, 3rd in the AAC west is 3rd in the AAC west. I say hitch a wagon to the Sonny and Kaz train and let's goooo...they need 0% roadblocks and 100% support.

It's tough to be ranked when you don't play in a bowl. Looking at that list, USC appears to be the only ranked team that didn't play in a bowl game.

I agree we are on the right track but you are correct we still have quite a way to go in order to meet our stated goal of competing for conference championships.

You’re playing games. Do you or do you not like what Sonny Dykes is doing? He’s had us ranked —
RANKED, not RV — 20 out of 26 possible weeks the last two seasons. He’s killed it on the trail with both high school and transfer recruits. He’s an excellent face of the program and loves being here. I honestly don’t know what else you could expect.

Hire an aggressive athletic director. SMU athletic administration is weak. (Just the way we like it)
