Up to 57 in NET, 62 in Kenpom, and 46 in ESPN's BPI. Those early losses to Missouri and Loyola Marymount will haunt us until the end of the season. No way out other than to keep winning. We need to lose at most 1 more game in order to secure a bid to the NCAA tournament and it can't be to USF.

Two bad losses in 10 games have a significant impact.

Two bad losses in 30 games is much less.

If SMU and Cincy end the season with only 3 conference losses, significantly separating themselves from the rest of the AAC, they both will get into the tourney, because both will have the "it took us time to gel" excuse. Basically, SMU needs to go 9-2 in the last 11 to get in, otherwise, they will need to upset Houston in the AAC tourney for an invite.

FWIW, we just skipped over TCU in the NET rankings. They stayed at 59. We are 57.

They jumped 15 slots and we fell 3. I should’ve known better than to mention them.

TCU got spanked pretty good at home by the Horns. I am really hoping that TCU and SMU can find a date to play to make up the OOC game(s) both teams lost to COVID, like the women did. Doub't it will happen though.

Hell, I would be happy if we could get a game with the Mean Green, they are definitely trending up the last two years and would be a 30 minute bus ride for either team. They currently sit just ahead of SMU at #56

Would really benefit SMU if we could go up to Denton and beat them. Give us a shot at a "cheap" Quad 1 win.

With 4 games in the next 9 days trying to fit in an extra game might be problematic to keep the team fresh.
