We need to win the games. We also need to schedule some road games against top 25 teams and some more 2 game series against teams like UNLV.

Depending on who comes back, this is an event SMU could/should win. Might set up an Iona vs SMU final? Holiday trip to Hawaii might inspire some seniors to come back??

Agree. This is not good for crafting a quality schedule. It should only amount to 3 games so not a terrible impact. But will probably be two Quad 4 games and one Quad 2 game, at best.

SMU hasn’t demonstrated savvy in crafting their basketball schedule. The sweet spot in the non-conference scheduling is to limit likely quad 4 teams all together. Just a brutal drag on your SOS that’s hard to overcome when your conference schedule underwhelms the Selection Committee. You want a bunch of winnable Quad 2s and perhaps one or two Quad 1s.

Unfortunately with our lack of bball revenue, quad 4 teams are the ones we are able to get to come play at Moody. Have to become road warriors to build a better schedule or at least to play Top 25 programs. Would love to see our guys go play in Rupp Arena or the Dean Dome, places that would generate a nice check while testing our guys to see how competitive they might be against top college talent. We should at least get TCU to resume home/home series but maybe Dixon wants no part of SMU on his schedule?

Granted with the transfer portal things can change dramatically year over year, but those schools' current NET rankings are 223,163, 86, 282, 121, 63 & 58 respectively while SMU sits at # 49
