Posted: Wed Mar 16, 2022 9:59 am5 seeds Oregon and St Bonaventure scored upsets over 4 seeds Utah State and Colorado but otherwise the higher seeds all advanced with Alcorn State giving A$M all they could handle, The Aggie$ had to make 26 of 28 FTs to secure the win. Ethan Chargois had one of his better games scoring 9 points on 3-6 FGs including 1-2 threes and 2-2 FTs in 14 minutes of playing time. Ethan added 5 rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot as OU easily defeated Missouri State.
Looking ahead, which I know I shouldn't do, Washington State beat Santa Clara 63-50 despite hitting only 22-64 FGs. WASU held Santa Clara to 3-23 threes and blocked 10 shots and that was the difference in that game. That same Santa Clara team beat TCU by 19 in Ft Worth. Hopefully we can defend the perimeter and not let Nicholls go off from three tonight. Their leading scorer, Ty Gordon jacks a lot of threes (almost 100 more than KD or Band or Nutall who take the most threes for SMU) and has made 36% on the season
