The only year a Grant McCasland coached team didn’t win 20+ games was his 2021 season at NTSU.

That’s the year they had road losses to Arkansas, Mississippi State & #11 ranked West Virginia, but went on to win the C-USA tournament and then defeat #20th ranked Purdue in the NCAA tourney.

Seven players dominate the minutes. Of those, four were JUCO recruits that have now played 2-3 years at UNT. One guy took a year to play at the Scotland Performance Institute after Brooklyn HS. The other two are Houston HS recruits -- Jones from Yates and Scott from Legacy the School of Sport Sciences in Spring, TX.

Staff does what it takes to build a team. No D-1 transfers but JC, and to lesser extent HS, and working into their system.

Just thinking, Mark Turgeon who quit at Maryland had great success at A&M and is from the Larry Brown coaching tree. After half a year in purgatory, perhaps he'd like to come to Dallas. He doesn't have to compete in the B1G, but a vastly depleted AAC.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

If that is the case I sure hope SMU doesn't drag this out.

I hope so too, but Hart is anything but decisive.

how many years has it been said that if he doesn't get to the big dance he is gone? way too many. And now there is hesitation to make a change? either we want to build a winner or stay muddled in mediocrity. Anybody else remember cougar high firing a winning fball coach because he didn't win the conference? that is commitment being a champion and that is a reason why people selected them to move up

one possible justification for dragging this out, and i can really only think of only two, is what if what Alex Lifeson said is true and Hart is a goner.

They may want the new AD to hire his is own BB coach.

One can only dream.

I would rather keep Jankovich than Hart. I think replacing Hart is the most pressing matter.

Surely you don’t think the AD hires the BB coach. (sorry I called you Surely)

What you all are missing is the gutless and incompetent AD will always get in his own way. He is apathetic, indecisive and enjoys making good money by doing nothing. He is protected by RGT and is untouchable.

Right you are, Little Ricky isn't going anywhere until R.G.T . retires with a giant statue

This is not sarcasm at all. I find it fascinating that y’all know so much about these two men. I met RGT once and found him insincere, but he may have been distracted. Never met Hart.

Tell me how and where you get your info.

It's all about results and decision making. Hart has been abominable at his job. I don't care if I ever meet SMU's AD so it isn't personal. If any of us were as terrible as he is at his job, we don't last 6 months much less 10 years.
